Calling for two openings of full-time English Language Lecturers Naresuan University, Phitsanulok (Top-ten University in Thailand) Naresuan University Language Centre (NULC) is seeking a full-time lecturer to teach English courses to enhance competency of both students and staff. The university is a government university located in Phitsanulok (350 kilometres north of Bangkok). It has an enrolment of about 25,000 students in 16 faculties & 6 colleges. There is a large comprehensive university with a public hospital and a dental hospital on campus. Various academic and cultural events are organized all year round. Buses and mini vans from Bangkok stop at the university gate, and apartments are easy to find within walking distance to the university. The successful applicant will join our team of full-time international lecturers. We are seeking two enthusiastic, organized and committed team members who are prepared to make a contribution to improving the English language skills of our students and staff. Applicants MUST: • be native speakers of English from the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand; • have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university although higher qualifications are preferred; • have a recognized TEFL or TESOL teaching qualification or equivalent; • be able to provide original academic qualifications for inspection and verification; • have a positive attitude towards working in Thailand. Benefits: • Monthly salary of 37,950 baht (salary 33,950 baht plus accommodation 4,000 baht) • One year contract (renewable) – six months’ probation on appointment • 10 days paid annual vacation leave plus government holidays (30 days paid home leave during semester breaks are negotiable) • Sick leave and personal business leave in accordance with government regulations • Membership of government social security scheme including a health insurance (750 baht deducted from salary per month) • Air conditioned classrooms and office space Note: Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview in person or online and give a one-hour teaching demonstration lesson to a class or a committee.
